Even though we will first deliver our ads via specified categories, we actually make it even more targeted, because we also make each ad dynamically generated if it’s related to a specific page. We send out nanobots to gather the info and we then send these ads out to them according to its keywords.

I’m interested in the same thing as you. I’d like to see some competition for AdSense. I like AdSense, and think it’s a wonderful opportunity for a lot of publishers to easily get some support their websites and blogs. However, the more options advertisers and publishers have the better off I think we’ll be. In that sense I’m rooting for Fair Ads Network to succeed. I’ve signed up as part of the beta test, will give them a good look, and I’m happy to refer people to their service at the moment. No cost, no harm.
I haven’t signed up as a Master Level Marketer yet, either. In its present state the Master Marketer plan doesn’t appeal to me. I need to see more before I start spending a monthly fee to place ads on my blog.
One of the uncertainties I have with Fair Ads Network at the moment concerns referrals. I’m uncertain at this point whether a publisher gets a percentage of affiliate signups if he/she isn’t a Master Marketer. When I first looked over their materials, I thought I saw something that said a publisher would get referral percentages no matter what type of account he/she had, unless the referral became a Master Marketer, in which case the referee also had to be a Master Marketer. Kevin’s statement in his comment here makes it seem that is not the case. Perhaps a publisher only gets percentages on referrals if the publisher is a Master Marketer?

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and clarify some of the points I found confusing when I was looking through the site a couple of weeks ago.
In revisiting the site a few times since, I noticed that you’re adding and reworking the information constantly, and that the section on the Master Marketer had been expanded. It looks like things are falling into place nicely.
Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but it would seem to me that the challenging part—if a comparison to similar marketing/advertising plans is valid—is to get advertisers to commit. For example, I was visiting AdVolcano to take a look at their system, and it seems like they have a lot of publishers offering site space to AdVolcano, but relatively few companies buying the offered space (at least at the time I saw their site). Fair Ads Network is of course a different type of system, but if you are offering category-based ads, I would guess there needs to be a strong variety of advertisers built up quickly. Once a critical mass gets established, things could go extremely well.

This is Kevin Lam, the CEO and co-owner of Fair Ads Network. I had some free time and did a search for my site to see how we’re doing. We went from 9,000 listings yesterday to 10,500 listings today. So we’re gaining a lot of popularity.
I was reading over your post and found it very interesting because you actually took the time to talk about FAN in your own words rather than doing a copy and paste, which I’ve found done all over the place. Even then, it has brought on a lot of attention and discussion.
Alright, a few corrections right now. We started with 10,000 members, but we’re taking 5 off our list every hour. I know we’d need more than 10,000 members to really thrive, but we’re approaching Beta and the goal is to test the system out and see it’s capability based on how much our server can handle. That will then allow us to determine how many dedicated servers to actually add so we don’t have to wait on it later.
It’s true that we are combining the advertiser and publisher benefits with an all-in-one. The Master Marketer simply compliments everything you do as a publisher and publisher. If you decide to be ONLY a publisher even after upgrading, then you’ll only benefit from the publisher features. If you’re ONLY an advertiser, then it will be the other way around.
It’s really not that confusing. We encourage everyone to actually register as both because then you’d benefit from everything I have designed for FAN. You’ll actually be able to switch it to either/or or both at anytime.
You don’t even have to be a big advertiser or publisher, the other objective of the Master Marketer is to help you make affiliate commissions from your referrals. This can be a great additional income even if your own advertising campaigns aren’t doing well.
As for the $19.95/m, I have currently knocked off 50% until we reach Beta.
A heed of warning here, there are some very well known Internet marketing gurus that will be massively advertising FAN soon. This MAY make me want to open the doors for more members, but if we reach our maximum limit of numbers before we are ready for beta, I will allow the existing members to upgrade. After that, I will then continue to allow others to signup even during Beta.
